FR// Un week-end à Istanbul m'aura tout juste laisser le temps d'apprécier son parfum épicé sans pouvoir réellement la goûter. Aucune frustration mais une intense envie d'y retourner ! Je suis d'accord avec vous, c'est bien trop court pour découvrir une ville aussi incroyable - on m'avait prévenu. Pour ma défense, si j'ai improvisé ce mini séjour c'était surtout pour accompagner l'une de mes amies - Filiz - qui participait au salon du livre d'Istanbul pour le lancement du nouveau tome de son roman Veliaht. Vous l'ignorez peut-être - car je suis d'un naturel plutôt discret - mais Filiz  s'est inspirée de ma personnalité pour donner naissance à l'un des protagonistes d'où cette fameuse journée dédicace que vous avez pour certains suivie dans ma story sur Instagram. Vous imaginez bien que même si ce n'était pas l'objet principal de ce voyage, je ne pouvais pas venir à Istanbul sans visiter Istanbul. Le temps ne jouant pas en ma faveur j'ai préféré m'en remettre au père de Filiz qui nous a promené ici et là pour me donner un avant goût multisensoriel de ville : Turkish brunch  familial sur les hauteurs, traversée du pont Atatürk, déambulation dans Taksim, la fameuse Sainte-Sophie que j'avais vu tant de fois dans mes livres d'Histoire au collège... Cet avant-goût je l'ai retranscrit avec ces quelques photos qui je l'espère vous donneront autant qu'à moi l'envie d'y aller ! D'ailleurs si out avez des adresses à me conseiller, je compte bien y retourner très prochainement. 
UK// Two days in Istanbul only made me able to smell the spicy scent of the city but I could not taste it entirely. However did not feel any frustration but a strong willing to come back again. I know two days are too short to discover an unknown place as big as this amazing city however the goal of my stay was more visiting my friend Filiz than sightseeing. Actually she has just launched the second opus of her book Veliaht whose one of the main characters (Mert Uysal) is based on my personality. So we thought my visit was a good idea to organize a signing session for the readers on the first part of our weekend together.  For the rest of the week-end her dad offered me a kind of "multisensory preview" of Istanbul so her family and I have moved here all the day long. Short, intense and magical. We can see that tiny journey through these snaps : family Turkish brunch, inside the multicultural history in Hagia Sophia,  walk on the Atatürk subway bridge. Hope that will make you wan to go to there to and if you have already visited it please let me know the good places to see because I will be there very soon :)
